Mean Girls

As you'll probably know at this point, Coronavirus reached Italy. To be specific, it reached the north of Italy, included the district I live in, Lombardia. So far so good...I mean, I'm really scared, because some infected people have been found in the province of Cremona, which is 35 km away from where I live. That said, we are not in the 'red zone' which is the hotbed of the outbreak right about now, but we are considered a risky zone nonetheless, we're in the 'yellow zone' and we have to respect strict rules and leave the house just when needed. Schools are closed and will remain closed untile next week, Churches are closed, shops have to respect new opening hours. I hope they can contain this emergency, because we have conflicting infos, many say it is just a more severe flu/pneumonia, but we don't know exactly how the virus works, so I'm scared.
As long as the virus was spreading just in China, it still seemed so far away from us, but now that it has arrived here as well, it is hard to stay calm and be positive. I hope everything turns out well for us and for all the other countries involved, because it really seems to be spreading quickly....:/
When the news of the chinese epidemic broke, I thought it would be contained and handled in a short time, I thought maybe people were being too worried, but they were right.
As for Italy, I for one have little faith in politicians who run our government. to be honest. They should have taken extreme measures to protect us, as closing down borders, but they were worried about passing for racist towards chinese people living here, and now we're in this mess.They can't understand it is not racism. Had the virus broken out in Sweden, I'd say the same things about swedish. Better safe then sorry.
As of right now, we have more than 200 people infected with the virus, but the number is increasing daily.
Fingers crossed this can end well!

More than 3 months ago I was banned from TFS and still I had no answer nor explanation from a Mod…
So I forward, once again, my experience.


I realized with surprise that I was banned forever from TFS…reason is “Multiple claims of Copyright Infringement”…
I just would like to know when and where I did violate the copyright because in all honesty I do not have a clue. I mean, I have always credited the sources where I took the pics from and what surprised me the most is that I was never contacted by anyone who warned me that my behaviour was wrong…If someone had alerted me that I was doing something forbidden or not correct, I would have stopped that.

I’d be guilty of violating copyright if I had been warned and, despite that, I had kept my wrong behaviour but since NO ONE EVER told me I was doing something not correct, I struggle to see why they banned me and not just for a brief period but forever, as if I had offended someone there!

I was in absolute good faith and I definitely didn’t want to intentionally violate any rule or copyright…I have always just tried to contribute with pics and infos, always giving the credit. I don’t see any difference in my behaviour and the ones of the other members….
In the past, I’ve never had any problems there, at times I was sent a PM by a moderator but for minor issues (like ‘dangerous image uploader, especially when I was a new member there) and I also personally contacted mods to ask to delete posts that were wrong as soon as I noticed there was something ‘dangerous’. The fact I haven’t received any PMs or warning had me sure there was no problem going on so I was very surprised to learn I was banned…
I am really speechless….and I would love to have an explanation, at least for a matter of education and politeness. I think I deserve that, mainly because I’ve always acted fairly and contributed after years of membership and almost 5000 posts…

How am I supposed to know I am doing something wrong if they don’t tell me! I hope they will at least reply me and let me know their reasons…

My nick on TFS is Dea1983, if someone here ‘knew’ me on TFS, please help me to get things straight.
The more I think about it, the more I think that probably I was too active on some threads and I was annyoing someone maybe…
