Rashida Jones urged female celebrities to 'stop acting like whores' in their daring Instagram photos during a Twitter rant on Saturday.
'This week's celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her vagina is most popular,' her first tweet said with the hashtag 'stopactinglikewhores.'
The message came just three days after Kim Kardashian posted a very revealing photo of herself.
The 37-year-old continued in three separate tweets.
Her next one was: 'Let me clarify. I don't shame ANYone for anything they choose to do with their lives or bodies…' she continued.
Rashida - the daughter of Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton - followed that up with: 'BUT I think we ALL need to take a look at what we are accepting as the norm.'
And finally she posted: 'There is a whole generation of young women watching. Sure, be SEXY but leave something to the imagination,' she blasted.
Rashida, who was in Washington D.C. on Sunday to see comedian and actress Carol Burnett receive the 2013 Mark Twain Prize for American Humour at the Kennedy Center, did not specifically name the stars who she believed had gone over the top with their pics.
But recent revealing selfies of singers Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus plus celebrity Kim are probably among the shots that raised her ire.
The actress, who will bow out of Parks And Recreation when the current season wraps, ended her Twitter blast with an ironic shout out to guys.

Honestly, couldn't agree more! Well said Rashida!It would be great to see these female celebs acting with a bit more dignity, and not always posing like objects purely for the sexual titillation of others.
