Last year was so much clear, with the actress in leading role award: the contenders were Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain, and they BOTH deserved the Oscar, and the recognition for their incredible job as two incredible female characters. But Jessica Chastain was in a movie directed by a woman (who wasn't nominated for directing, while deserving an oscar for the second time), and Jennifer Lawrence in a movie produced by Harvey Weinstein (god, I hate that guy)... that made the difference
